Dr. Krishna Nand Prajapati: Postdoctoral Researcher at IISER Berhampur

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Physics from Buddha PG College, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur in 2011. Following that, I pursued a Master’s degree in Physics at DDU Gorakhpur University, graduated in 2013. In 2014, I embarked on my doctoral research at the School of Physics, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), and successfully earned my PhD in 2021. My research primarily focused on the synthesis and characterization of II-VI semiconducting nanomaterials and their composites with plasmonic metal nanoparticles and semiconducting quantum dots. These materials were further investigated for their applications as substrates in Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS), memristors devices, and UV photodetectors, and many more.
